Dr. Pirasteh’s pronouns are she, her, hers.

Hello and welcome! I am the owner and clinical director of Act2Change Therapy & Wellness Center. My therapeutic practice centers on collaborating with individuals (18+) who are seeking stability and lasting change. My passion for serving the needs of clients of diverse cultures, values, identities, and backgrounds is what motivated me to open Act2Change. I provide therapeutic support to clients throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

As a queer therapist, I take great pride in offering services that are LGBTQQIAAP+ affirming, sex-positive and kink-aware. Additionally, my inclusive approach attends to social justice issues impacting our communities, both locally and globally. I work closely with the BIPOC community and have an awareness and understanding of Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian cultures. As the daughter of Iranian immigrants, I know first-hand just how difficult it can be to find a therapist that understands the specific hardships that immigrant and refugee communities face. My clients find comfort in knowing that I can relate to many of their cultural practices and family dynamics on a more personal level.

I believe my role as your therapist is to be intentionally different than anyone else in your life. I will challenge you to tap into your own strengths, build resiliency, and reclaim vulnerability, while also fostering a nurturing space that honors your pace and needs. I often infuse humor and creativity into sessions as a way to make our time together enjoyable and engaging. I utilize a systemic framework and recognize that our lived-experiences shape how with think and interact with those around us. Through this lens, I support clients experiencing anxiety and stress, depressive episodes, existential crises, imposter syndrome, lack of self-worth, relationship issues, and identity issues. Many of my clients identify as creatives, executives, and entrepreneurs. My specialities also include support for wellness professionals experiencing compassion fatigue, burnout, and pandemic-related stress.

We are living through unprecedented times that have had a profound impact on Millennials, Zillennials, and Gen Z. No matter your race, gender, or sexual orientation, I am here to hold space for you. If you’re curious to learn more or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out for a free consultation. I look forward to connecting with you :)
